Keys4Life

Keys4Life

Umbrella Group provides participants with access to Keys4Life - a free pre-driver education program (as delivered within the education system) designed to build confidence, road safety knowledge, and driving readiness in a supportive and accessible environment.

This free course helps learners prepare for the Learner’s Permit Theory Test while developing the skills needed to begin their driving journey. Participants can choose from one-on-one or group sessions to complete the 10-hr course and achieve a Certificate of Completion. Sessions can also be modified, within reason, to meet individual learning needs and circumstances.

To further reduce barriers to participation, transport assistance may be available for learners who are unable to travel to sessions independently. In some cases, eligible participants may also receive financial assistance for essential documentation, such as replacement identification or birth certificates.

Together, Umbrella Group and Keys4Life help break down barriers to mobility, empowering people to build independence, increase community participation, and access new opportunities.

Keys4Life is developed by the Department of Education as part of the Road Safety and Drug Education program.

Suz Thomas holds a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, so is qualified to deliver this separate service.
