Need a Lift is an initiative offered by Umbrella Group Great Southern for those who are housebound or socially isolated. The program’s caring volunteers provide companionship and free transport to those who need it most.
Need a Lift is powered by kind-hearted people who genuinely care about helping others to have a better life.
Our friendly companions come and visit or offer safe, reliable rides for outings, appointments, shopping, community events, cafés or simply getting out of the house for a change of scenery. They are an important human connection that can brighten the day.

Need a Lift is supported by the generosity of our community. Donations help cover volunteer’s costs for fuel and subsidise some outings for Need a Lift clients.
